Day 365

365 days. A year since I left California. The fastest and the best year to date. The decision to leave had me so excited and afraid. I wasn’t afraid of making the worst decision, I was afraid that I would cheat myself out of learning what I needed to learn. Learning to let go as well as opening up to the world. Vulnerability was my biggest enemy. Little did I know that in it I would find my freedom. The greatest of thanks to the universe and those that I’ve met and will meet, to the places I’ve seen and the ones I will, to the amazing years of wisdom to come.

Day 316

Been stationed here in Picton, New Zealand for a bit. I’d run out of money. Got two jobs working at a backpackers and a bar. It’s winter and not many tourists in which leaves all the campsites and attractions empty for me to enjoy. I got a car, a lovely Subaru that I’ve decked out with gear to camp in. My favorite place to go is Marfell’s Beach, it’s near Seddon, about 45 minutes from Picton. I’ve had the best luck with sunsets and full moons here, always beautiful, even in the rain.

Day 215

My first time in Kaikoura. It was the beginning of winter so you could see snow caps on the mountains. A beautiful highway that winds along the edge of the coast. Road crews are always working on this part of the highway for some reason, lots of stops.
